What communication can you expect from Shippo? Here’s our guide on the key points of contact we provide throughout each shipment. We’re a friendly bunch so if you need any questions answered, we won’t limit you to the key emails!
Booking Confirmed
When you send us your supplier’s contact details, we’ll have our agent, local to them, make contact in their own language to book the goods onto the ship (or plane).
We’ll manage the booking process to ensure that the goods are with you as soon as possible by booking the vessel with the earliest arrival date rather than the shortest transit time. You will receive a booking form such as the one below:

Planned Schedule & Delivery Estimate
We will send you a planned schedule of your shipment before you receive tracking for you to get a general idea of what is happening with your shipment. With this we will ask for any missing information such as your tariff codes. This is used to remind you what is needed to clear customs:

We’ll ensure our agent clears your goods smoothly through customs and gets them into a container and onto the boat as they are exported from their country of origin. When the goods are on their way to you, we’ll ensure that everything required to clear your products through UK Customs is in place:

Arrival Notice
We will update you a few days before arrival at the UK port. This is to ensure we have everything needed for clearance. A reminder that we need everything sent to ensure landing in the UK runs smoothly and there are no avoidable delays:

Delivery Plan & Invoice
When the goods land in the UK, we’ll clear them through UK Customs and pay HMRC on your behalf. We’ll send you one all-inclusive invoice (along with the delivery preferences) which includes the Freight cost, the UK Duty and import VAT on it for you to pay before the goods are delivered.
Upon arrival to the UK we will arrange a delivery date and time which is suitable for you, this allows you to ensure you have help available if needed to unload the goods from the truck:
